And the Throne Coming Queen is… [CUPID OF COURSE !]

foreverfairesteah:

My Ever After High: Royals and Rebels book finally came in from Amazon today! I preordered it awhile back and it finally shipped. It’s hardcover and cost $6 and change. It’s a bit different than the yearbook in that it has games and quizzes and such, in addition to the usual info about the characters. The most hexciting part is full bios for Daring and Hopper! They are, in fact, roomies. There’s also this cool section with webisodes in comic form. The very last page of the book is about the Spring Unsprung Fair, coming in 2015. Perhaps this will be a new line or the topic of a new book next year?

I took the box art scan from this post and made it transparent. It’s not 100% perfect, but I haven’t seen any transparent full body artwork of Cedar at all so it’s definitely better than nothing!

I went back and got rid of more of the small white bits around the edges of this so it should look decent even on darker backgrounds now.

I feel like there’s not enough Royal characters, or rather, there’s too many Rebel characters

Royals:
Apple White
Briar Beauty
Blondie Lockes
Holly O’Hair
Ashlynn Ella
Dexter Charming
Lizzie Hearts
Duchess Swan
Hopper Croakington II
Daring Charming
Gus Crumb
Helga Crumb
Rebels:
Raven Queen
Maddie Hatter
Cedar Wood
Cerise Hood
C.A. Cupid
Hunter Huntsman
Poppy O’Hair
Sparrow Hood
Kitty Cheshire
Melody Piper (I’m assuming this one, not 100% sure)
This was off the top of my head, so I might have missed someone. Feel free to correct me if I have. I’ve only included characters who have some form of official artwork, Faybelle Thorn is mentioned in the books and Duchess’ bio and seems like a Royal based on her attitude there, but I didn’t include her on the list since we haven’t seen her yet. I imagine we will be seeing her soon though. I think Humphrey is a Royal too, but I wasn’t 100% sure on that one so I didn’t include him. Ashlynn could arguably be in the Rebel column now after True Hearts day but even if she is the Royals still outnumber the Rebels, especially if Humphrey and Faybelle are Royals too. If Humphrey and Faybelle are Rebels, the numbers will be very close to even.
I’m not sure why you feel like there are too many Rebels. The numbers are either very much in favor of the Royals or pretty much even.

Thanks! I couldn’t be bothered to list them all, but the claim that there’s more Rebels than Royals is blatantly incorrect.
I think it’s safe to assume that Humphrey, Faybelle, ice girl, Darling, Rosabella, and possibly even Nathan are Royals. Meanwhile, only Tucker and Ginger appear upcoming Rebels. Lilly-Bo, HoH, the other Merry Man, and “Jack & Jill” are the only ones with no prediction potential to them. Though since the Merry Men are apparently divided and Tucker and Sparrow appear to be Rebels, it would logically follow the other Merry Man’s a Royal.
Add to that that Tiny’s a Rebel and the three pigs/goats Royals, and quantity-wise, the Royals outnumber the Rebels easily. Unless these predictions are wrong, and then still they are not worse off than the Rebels.

We also have Bunny Lapin/White/Blanc/Whatever her last name is now, Alistair Wonderland, Cari Pillar and a few others that we have trademarks for, but since they haven’t appeared in anything other than trademarks yet I have no clue what they might end up being or if we’ll even see them at all. Unless every single trademark that we are unsure of ends up being a Rebel, which I very much doubt, then the Royals will still outnumber or be even with the Rebels so I really have no idea what this confession is complaining about.

Mouscedes probably is a Royal, and I expect Nina to be one too. Alistair, Bunny, and Cari can go a number of ways - if we assume Wonderland balance (and that Humphrey isn’t a Wonderlandian), two of them would be Royal. Jillian… well, I’m assuming she’s a Rebel, if only to compensate.
I’m trying to understand the confession, like maybe it feels like there are less Royals because of story focus? But that doesn’t seem right to me either, given that the last four webisodes were Royal-centric and the ones before neutral. Doll releases are 50/50. I don’t know about the books enough to say anything about that, but I don’t get the impression the Rebels are favored and the next book seems Royal-centric.
Like, I honestly don’t get the confession. :/

The first book focuses entirely on Apple and Raven. It might be a little rebel focused because it surrounds the events of Legacy Day and what Raven does there, but there is a lot about Apple too, so it’s not heavily in the Rebel’s favor.
The second book is also mostly Raven and Apple focused, but Cerise plays a pretty important role as does Maddie. Ashlynn and Briar make an appearance, but their roles do seem a bit smaller. So again a little in the Rebel’s favor perhaps, but not a huge imbalance.
The third book centers around Lizzie, Cedar, Maddie, and Kitty so it does have a lot more Rebels than Royals, but Lizzie is a huge part of the book. Side note, because of events in this book I think it is clear that the EAH franchise does not consider Humphrey a Wonderlandian even though Humpty Dumpty does appear in Through the Looking-Glass.
I guess looking at it the books are a little more Rebel focused right now, but the next book does seem to be entirely Royal focused and the books are only a small part of the franchise. The character count is in the Royal’s favor. the dolls are currently even in the number of Royals versus Rebels. The webisodes also seem even in their focus.
I’m with you, I really don’t get this confession at all.
